Our simulators
Sophie and Her Mum by MODEL-med
Workshop simulators
We bring two obstetrical simulators to each workshop. We use Sophie and Her Mum simulators by MODEL-med of Australia. These, like all other obstetrical simulators, are designed for a dorsal lithotomy position. We at Breech Without Borders did some creative engineering to turn the simulators upside-down or, rather, right-side-up!
These photos of Ivory and Ebony show our simulators in a hands & knees or kneeling position.
If you'd like a sewing pattern for the upright stirrups, you can find it at our online store. The sewing tutorial is below if you would like to preview the level of sewing skills necessary.
* Please note that adapting the torso into an upright position will require drilling two additional holes into the base for the two table legs nearest the torso's thighs.*
